Sketchbook for Visual Journaling (mixed media use paper, spiral bound is my favorite because you can lay it flat!)
Rives BFK Paper (For our Painting Projects)
Set of Acrylic Paint Brushes
Acrylic Paint (My favorite brands are BASICS & Golden) In Red, Blue, Yellow, White, Black (these are the paints we will use the most, but you can purchase more pigments if you like, such as umbers, orchres, different blues & reds & yellows to choose your favorite type of each of these colors) choose the purest form of each pigment possible
Gesso (needed for prepping our Rives BFK Paper for acrylic paintings)
Larger Gesso Brush
Sand Paper block with fine grit
Black India Ink
Black Construction Paper (this is the easiest to use, but you can always paint a square of drawing paper using India Ink or Black Acrylic)
X-Acto Knife (suggested)
Rubber Cement or other archival adhesive (suggested)
Travel Water Color Set with Water Color Brushes
Water Color Pencils
Butchers Tray Painting Palette (suggested)
Spray Bottle for Water to keep palette wet while painting with acrylic
Containers for Water while painting
Assorted Magazines for collage and Image collecting
Clamp Light from Hardware store or reading lamp
Egg or Ball for a study on the effects of light
Printed Photograph of Self-Portrait
Fine Tip Sharpie or Micron Pen
Personal Objects for Self-Portrait via Still Life
Drawing/Painting Board
Rags (Cut up T-Shirts Work Great!)
Newsprint Paper
Spray Fixative (suggested)
Vine Charcoal
Compressed Charcoal
Nature Objects collected in your area
Needle & Thread in your favorite color
Clear Packing Tape for Image Transfers (suggested)
Gel Medium for image transfers (suggested)

Dowel Rod for Relative Measuring
Ribbon (go for one at least an inch wide that will hold some shape)
Conte in Black, white, gray
Flowers in Vase (Or Visit to some Botanical Gardens!)
Slice of Cake for painting a still life
Tracing Paper or Vellum
